Dr. Kerrie Moll Cavallo's interest in becoming a veterinarian
was evident in early childhood, where her preferred play involved a toy doctor kit and plush animal patients! She is Long Island born and raised, graduating from Harborfields High School in 1973. After two years at SUNY/Albany, she transferred to SUNY/Stony Brook, graduating in 1977. Dr. Cavallo's girlhood dream was realized upon graduation from the NYS College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1982.
After completion of her education, Dr. Cavallo acquired valuable experience working for several years at a pet hospital in Huntington, and another in Brooklyn. Life and a new family eventually brought her back to Long Island, and in 1988 she and Dr. Clark opened Middle Country Animal Hospital, where they have been practicing happily ever after!
On 'off duty' days from our hospital, Dr. Cavallo provides services to the Guide Dog Foundation For the Blind/ America's Vet Dogs in Smithtown, working as their senior staff veterinarian. For fun, Dr. Cavallo enjoys many outdoor activities - running, biking, kayaking, skiing, tennis, and sailing, two grown children, and spoiling two standard poodles, Isabella and Misty, adopted after their release from the Guide Dog Foundation training program.
